Quilts of Valor

The mission of Quilts of Valor (QOV) is to cover service members and veterans touched by war with handmade heirloom quality quilts to honor and comfort them. It is the quilter’s tangible way to say “Thank you for your service, sacrifice and valor in the defense of our country.”

Quilt of Valor sew-along meetings are meeting again (after the hiatus due to COVID). They meet on the second Saturday of the month at IQM. Bring your own lunch and project to work on.

Members are encouraged to make QOV quilts as individual awards are being presented to veterans at this time. The award ceremonies are currently at the Auld Center at Antelope Park on the 3rd Friday of each month. Check local public calendars for times.

QOV kits will be available at the in-person guild meetings for members to pick up if desired. Our guild provides batting and backing for QOV quilt tops you have created, if desired. For more information contact Sara Kenny at sara.kenny@qovf.org or 402-960-6560.

More information about QOV can be found on the Community Outreach page.
