Try Something New! Just after finishing my very first quilt almost 12 years ago, I decided I would try something new with every quilt I made. I’ve made well over 400 quilts since then, and I still love the thrill of trying new things! Every quilt in this show features a unique and different technique. Bias tape applique, fabric weaving, quilt as you go, prairie points, and 3-D elements are just a few of the many examples included in the show. Be prepared to be inspired and leave ready to try something new in your next quilt.

Laura's Bio: Hello! I’m Laura! I’m a quilter, pattern designer, deal hunter, and homeschooling mom of three boys. I’m also an ex-math teacher—and with a last name like Piland—there is a strong love of pi in our house!

I’ve been designing and publishing quilt patterns since 2016. My work has been included in magazines, newspapers, fabric company catalogs and lookbooks, and industry email newsletters and campaigns. My quilt patterns are available at quilt shops worldwide and from the industry’s top distributors.

It is so much fun meeting quilters at shops, retreats, guild meetings, and other quilty events around this country, and I look forward to meeting your group too!
