Barbara Caron has been a quilt maker, designer and teacher for more than 40 years. She authored two books published by the American Quilter’s Society, lectured and taught in more than 15 states, and twice juried American Quilters Society shows in Paducah. Barbara holds graduate degrees in Design Foundations (studio) and Design History from the University of Minnesota. Her careers include public librarian, university professor, and museum professional. She served as Assistant Director of the International Quilt Study Center & Museum until she retired in 2012.

Workshop Description:
Put a dent in your stash by stitching a 40” x 58” quilt with 15 blocks and two borders. Choose your own colors and fabrics and create your own design by combining two simple, versatile block patterns to create an interesting secondary design. Focus on value selection and placement, as well a strip piecing with attention to grainline. Dozens of block combinations; fun for all skill levels. Pattern fee ($7) includes more than 50 pages of designs along with cutting instructions for every possibility.
