45th Anniversary Celebration/Silent Auction
will be at the May 14, 2018, Guild meeting. We are seeking donations of select/quality items for the silent auction that appeal to LQG members. Drop off your items at the April 9 guild meeting.
The 2018 LQG Quilt Show
, scheduled August 3-4 at Lincoln Christian School, will include a Live Auction at 7 pm on Friday, August 3. Auction chairs Linda Daiker and Linda Gale invite you to submit items for the Auction, which features our favorite, engaging auctioneer, Linda Underwood.
Auction items especially encouraged are:
• Wall Hangings of all sizes
• Baby Quilts
• Lap-size Quilts
• Nice Purses/Bags
• Home Décor items made of fabric: bowls, pillows, dolls?

Quilts of Valor
– At the March meeting, Sara Kenny asked the Lincoln Quilt Guild to make 135 quilts for the all-female Veterans Honor Flight. If you are only making the top, it needs to be finished by June. If making a finished quilt it needs to be turned in by August. Each quilt will be presented in a pillowcase. One hundred thirty-five pillowcases will also need to be made. Generally, a QOV is a lap-size quilt: Minimum size: 55” x 65“, Maximum size: 72” x 90”.
